Our website uses SSL encryption to protect your data. You can recognize this encryption on every page by the small lock symbol in the browser line.

For us a third party provider takes over the services for hosting and displaying our website. All collected data described below will be stored and processed on the servers of this third party provider. Their software enables us to present our products in an appealing way, to take your orders, to overview and process all orders. They are therefore the recipients of your data and therefore act on our behalf. It is based in the USA and is therefore obliged to comply with the Privacy Shield Agreement.

In the following we will go into more detail about all data that is collected from you, the purpose of its collection, the legal basis for the collection, the duration of data storage and any other recipients of the data.

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications containing advertising information (hereinafter "newsletters") only with the consent of the recipients or with a legal permission. If, in the course of registering for the newsletter, its contents are specifically described, they are decisive for the consent of the users. In addition, our newsletters contain information about our new products, offers and promotions (this may include in particular references to blog posts, lectures or workshops, our services or online appearances).

  1. Double-Opt-In and logging
The registration for our newsletter is done in a so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. This means that you will receive an e-mail after registration in which you are asked to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can register with foreign e-mail addresses.
The registrations for the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the registration and confirmation time as well as the IP address. Changes to your saved data are also logged.
  2. Use of the dispatch service provider "Klaviyo
The newsletter will be sent via "Klaviyo", 225 Franklin St, Boston, MA 02110, USA.
The e-mail addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this notice, are stored on Klaviyo servers in the USA. Klaviyo uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, Klaviyo may use this data according to its own information to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for technical optimisation of the dispatch and presentation of the newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, Klaviyo does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass them on to third parties.
We trust in the reliability and IT and data security of Klaviyo. Klaviyo is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement "Privacy Shield" and is thus committed to comply with the EU data protection regulations. Furthermore, we have concluded a "Data-Processing-Agreement" with Klaviyo. This is a contract in which Klaviyo undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process them on our behalf in accordance with their data protection regulations and in particular not to pass them on to third parties. Here you can find the Privacy policy of Klaviyo in English language.
  3. Registration data
To subscribe to the newsletter it is sufficient to enter your e-mail address.
Optionally we ask you to enter your first and last name. This information is only used to personalize the newsletter. Furthermore, we also optionally ask you to enter your date of birth and title. We use this information only to adapt the contents of the newsletter to the interests of our readers.
  4. Statistical survey and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", i.e. a pixel-sized file which is retrieved from the Klaviyo server when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information such as browser and system information, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on the retrieval locations (which can be determined by means of the IP address) or the access times.
Statistical surveys also include the determination of whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our nor Klaviyo's intention to monitor individual users. The evaluations serve us much more to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.
  5. Online access and data management
There are cases in which we direct newsletter recipients to Klaviyo's websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link with which the newsletter recipients can retrieve the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display problems in the e-mail program). Furthermore, newsletter recipients can correct their data, such as their e-mail address, afterwards. In this context, we would like to point out that Klaviyo websites use cookies and thus personal data is processed by Klaviyo, its partners and service providers (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. Further information can be obtained from the Privacy policy from Klaviyo. We would also like to draw your attention to the possibility to object to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites and (for the European area).
  6. Cancellation/revocation
You can stop receiving our newsletter hier terminate at any time, i.e. revoke your consent. Your consent to its dispatch via Klaviyo and the statistical analyses will expire simultaneously. A separate revocation of the dispatch via Klaviyo or the statistical analysis is unfortunately not possible.
You will find a link to cancel the newsletter at the end of each newsletter.
  7. Legal basis Basic data protection regulation
In accordance with the provisions of the basic data protection regulation (DSGVO) in force from 25 May 2018, we inform you that consent to the sending of e-mail addresses on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 letter a, 7 DSGVO and § Article 7(2) No 3or para. 3 UWG takes place. The use of Klaviyo, the statistical surveys and analyses as well as the logging of the registration procedure are based on our legitimate interests according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. We are interested in the use of a user-friendly and secure newsletter system which serves our business interests and meets the expectations of the users.

We would also like to point out that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the legal requirements under Art. 21 DSGVO. The objection can be made in particular against processing for the purposes of direct advertising.

It is possible to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, either by sending a message to the contact described in section 3.10 or via a link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.

If you contact us via a form on the website, by e-mail or Facebook, you must provide a contact option so that we can answer your request. The data you provide will then be stored for 12 months for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in being able to answer your enquiry and to answer any follow-up enquiries specifically and in a customer-oriented manner, thus taking previous enquiries into account. Our e-mails are hosted by a third party provider located within the European Union who acts on our behalf as the recipient of the data. All emails are stored on its servers.

Another third party provider takes over the storage of contact information via email, our contact form and Facebook for us. This enables us to keep track of all customer requests and to answer your questions on all channels as soon as possible. This third party is also the recipient of your data and acts on our behalf. Ordering process

We would like to point out that for the purpose of an easier shopping process and for the later contract processing within the framework of cookies, the browser type, the place and time of the various page views, the website from which you visited us and the IP data of the connection owner are stored, as well as name, address, e-mail address and, if necessary, for the purpose of contract processing, the bank details (IBAN, BIC) of the buyer. This serves to simplify the completion of your order process, even if you interrupt your order in between and want to complete it at a later date. The legal basis for data storage is therefore our legitimate interest in making the conclusion of the contract on our website as quick and easy as possible for our customers. Some cookies remain stored on the hard disk of your terminal device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit us. If you do not wish to do so, you can set up your browser to inform you when cookies are set and only allow this in individual cases. If you deactivate cookies, however, the functionality of our website may be significantly reduced and loading times may be longer.

In case of a started but aborted shopping process, the data you entered including your selected goods will be saved by us for 2 weeks additionally. This serves the purpose of an easy recall of your shopping cart and a facilitation of the purchase of your selected goods for you. The legal basis for this storage is our legitimate interest in making it as easy as possible for our customers to complete their purchase (Art 6 para. 1 lit f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO).

When placing an order, the data you provide is required for the fulfilment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot process any orders via our online shop and cannot conclude the contract with you.

Data from concluded contracts can also be used for sending direct marketing. The legal basis for this is our justified interest in informing our customers after the conclusion of an order about other similar products which could be of interest to the customer.

Data will be transferred to third parties to the processing bank institutes/payment service providers for the purpose of transferring the purchase price, to the transport company/forwarding agent commissioned by us for the dispatch and delivery of the goods, as well as to our tax consultant for the fulfilment of our tax obligations. If your order includes a subscription, the necessary data is additionally processed by a third party provider who manages all subscriptions for us and thus triggers an order in our system every month. Some of the third party payment service providers and the third party subscription service providers are located in the USA. All third-party providers are therefore subject to either the DSGVO guidelines or the Privacy-Shield Agreement.

In case of a conclusion of a contract (an order) all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the tax law retention period (7 years). In addition, the data name, address, e-mail address, purchased goods and date of purchase are stored until the expiry of the product liability period (10 years). The legal basis for data processing after an order is therefore the necessity to fulfil the contract (Art 6 Paragraph 1 lit b DSGVO). In the case of a subscription model, this period begins with the termination of the subscription.

If you wish to return your order, it is necessary to indicate your order number and email address. This will allow us to identify your order and create a label with your data. The returns portal is managed by a third party provider, which has its headquarters or the location of its servers in the USA. The third party provider is therefore subject to the Privacy-Shield Agreement.

Data transfer upon conclusion of contract for online shops, dealers and dispatch of goods

We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary within the scope of the contract processing, for example to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or the credit institute commissioned with the payment processing. A further transmission of the data does not take place or only if you have expressly agreed to the transmission. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, for example for advertising purposes.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 letter b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

According to § 4 para. 3 no. 3 BDSG we would like to inform you that your address data will only be passed on to our shipping service provider for the purpose of delivering the goods.
